After the rally, we needed to take a break for a day or two. We visited the McNary lock and dam to check out the fish ladders. The dam’s visitor center was closed, so we couldn’t get in there. Actually, the viewing windows for the fish ladders on the Washington side were closed, too. Bummer!! Anyway, we did get to view the fish on the Oregon side, which was kind of neat. May 31, 2012 - A Little Shopping Trip
Plymouth, WA. 61 deg. partly cloudy, SW wind @ 12 mph. Forecast = Mostly cloudy. High of 81F. Breezy. Winds from the WSW at 15 to 20 mph. Jim and Linda decided that they needed a few groceries and some other items, so about 11:00 they took CLT and headed up to Kennewick, WA. where they found a Walgreen's Drug Store. There, they found the items they needed, plus the few groceries they were wanting, (bread, buns and milk). May 30, 2012 - Ahhhhhhh!!!!!
Plymouth, WA. 54 deg. overcast, E. wind @ 6 mph. Forecast = Mostly cloudy. High of 77F. Winds from the SW at 5 to 15 mph Ahhhh!!!! It's good to be wandering again. : ) I didn't realize how stiff my joints were getting until we got out onto I-5 about 9:50 and headed South for a few miles before turning East on I-84. It seemed like the farther East we went the more I relaxed. I was especially able to relax once we got out of the Portland metro area and the traffic started thinning out.
