Larrabee State Park Sept. 13-14, 2020 It’s thirty-six miles from the Concrete/Grandy KOA to Larrabee State Park. Leaving the KOA, we went back through Burlington for the third time in four days. We took scenic Chuckanut Drive. Normally we’d have had lovely views of Samish Bay through the roadside trees. But, again, because of the heavy smoke, we only saw “gray.” It was a one-hour drive between campgrounds that day. Larrabee State Park is just south of Bellingham. Jun 24, 2009 - Last few days before Canada
Oregon and Washington, the last two states in the Lower Forty-Eight, gave us both new and repeat experiences. We traveled through the Oregon mountains for the first time to visit Crater Lake, then turned west to reach, again, the Oregon coast. From there it was familiar territory to Bellingham, WA. We'll see you in British Columbia.
