Nov 15, 2010 - Kitsap State Park

We visited two state parks today. The first one was the Kitsap Memorial State Park. It is a 58-acre camping park with 1,797 feet of saltwater shoreline. It is a beautiful park with wild mushrooms growing all over the ground and some very huge trees. What a great place for a walk and picnic. The park offers beautiful natural surroundings and sweeping views of Hood Canal. It has a saltwater beach with tide pools and shellfish harvesting. It has a very nice campground plus cabins for rent. Our next stop was the Shine Tidelands State Park....

Jun 22, 2009 - Pictures to catch up from the end of Manchester State Park to camphosting at Kitsap Memorial Park.

Hey everybody thank you for being so patient regarding our updates. I have not been in a "talkative-newsy" mood to be able to share much. So here it goes: we finished April at Manchester State Park which is on Puget Sound. Then we moved down southeast of Seattle to Kanaskat-Palmer State Park which is in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains along the Green River. As you can see by the pictures the river is aptly named. We had a good time reuniting with rangers we worked with last year, as Kanaskat was the first park we hosted in July of...
