Jun 3, 2009 - Rounding out our hosting @ Kanaskat-Palmer

Well, the month of May found us back at the park in which we started our hosting. We were busy helping the campers on the weekends and were pretty slow in the middle of the week. The park was coming into her full green, it was interesting to watch the large leaf maple leaves double in size each day. The salmon berry blooms turned into berries, and the black berries came into bloom. We have enclosed pictures of the Green River Gorge as viewed from the one lane bridge. Not much new to report. Jul 26, 2008 - July at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park, Ravensdale, WA

Well, we made it to our first Washington state park, Kanaskat-Palmer. Kanaskat-Palmer State Park is in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. So it is heavily wooded and along the Green River. Yes, the same river that the Green River serial killer in the 1980's left his victims along. It is 10 miles south of Maple Valley or 10 miles north of Enumclaw, WA.
