Lazy day. We slept in and did some reading and eventually went into town so we could walk through some of the Norwegian shops. This evening we met up with Darrell and Diane and a couple of their friends we had met when we were here 3 years ago and had dinner on Bainbridge Island. It is the hottest day they have had this year. It hit 75. We sat outside and had a very enjoyable evening. Thanks Darrell and Diane for spending your weekend with us and being such great hosts!

Jun 29, 2014 - Point No Point Lighthouse

We met Darrel and Diane for breakfast and they were our tour guides for the afternoon. We visited Point No Point Lighthouse and Foulweather Bluff. Point no Point Lighthouse is a lighthouse on the west side of Puget Sound in the small town of Hansville, WA. It is the oldest lighthouse on Puget Sound. In 1977 the lighthouse became fully automated and by 1997 it was abandoned and left empty until the Kitsap County Parks and recreation leased it.
