Jun 8, 2019 - Grayland WA

Grayland WA Day 23: Friday June 7, 2019 When we got up Friday morning the clouds were heavy, threatening rain. We were moving 149 miles from La Push to Grayland WA with a stop to shop at Walmart in Aberdeen. The route on US 101 from Forks to Aberdeen is mostly hilly and windy, though there’re no major climbs. While we were eating breakfast it started sprinkling and it was raining by the time we were ready to hookup; so we put on rain gear and got it done. We pulled out at 8:15 am; we had rain most of the way. When we reached Walmart the...

Jul 25, 2018 - Grayland State Park, WA

July 17 - 25 We are staying 9 nights at Grayland State Park in Washington. We have been here a couple of other times and enjoy the cool weather. As you will see in the pictures it is cool here, in the 60's. We also understand how it got its name because everyday is foggy. Some days the sun shows up but not for long. The beach is a short walk away on one of 5 trails that branch out from the park. We enjoyed lots of campfires and BBQ's and walked almost everyday around the area. Town is only a few miles away. Not much else to do here so we...

Millers RV Travels

Sep 26, 2013 - Grayland

We have moved south on the Washington Coast, landing at Grayland. The coast here is very different than what exists at Kalalock and north. No more high cliffs covered with pine trees, rock outcroppings into the sea, tidepools, even no driftwood! The land bordering the Pacific is quite flat and devoid of vegetation except for sea grass. The beach is long and flat. Good for walking.

Headed off to Grayland State Park today. Deb and Jacob came with us. Jake got to ride in the RV for a short while. After getting camp setup we headed out to the "30 miles of Junque". Garage sales from Grayland to Westport. Found some toys for Jake and some items Deb was looking for. All in all a good day hunting. We got back, had some lunch and then Mike, Candy, Dick and Carol pulled in in their rigs. Shortly after Deb and Jakob headed for home. We just sat around a shot the breeze before heading off to bed

After lunch we decided to head into Ocean Shores and go to the Interpretive center. Jake had a wonderful time, there were drawers to open and fake bugs, worms, snakes, and fish to pick up and hold. Also a sand box to play in After coming back to the RV we headed over to the playground for awhile and then after dinner it was back to the beach for sunset pics.

Apr 24, 2011 - Grayland Beach in the rain

We have only one bar 3G service on Juanita's IPad here at Grayland Beach State Park in Washington but wanted to let you know we arrived safely. It has rained off and on all day and a wet forecast will apparently keep the stuff coming during our stay. I have taken a few photos of our beautiful seaside campsite and will post them when we get decent Internet, hopefully by the weekend. We'll have a great time regardless of the weather................

Oct 6, 2009 - Grayland Beach State Park...wow!

. Even though we have only two bars showing on our air card, I will try to post an entry from our latest destination, Grayland Beach State Park in SW Washington. Because we needed to dump our holding tanks at Nehalem Beach this morning, we were not on the road until about 9:30…actually not a bad starting time for a 120 mile drive to our next camp site. The weather was perfect for a moving day with an early temperature in the low 50’s, no wind and cloudless skies. We crossed the Columbia River on the Astoria Bridge and made our first rest...
