We picked up Mike Jr., Kayleigh and Ava at SeaTac Friday night at midnight. They spent a week with us first at Tall Chief and then in La Conner at the Potlatch RV Resort. Jun 13, 2011 - Country Drive and Goodbyes
We took a leisurely drive through the country on our way to Joanne's house this morning. We had lunch with her before having to say goodbye. She took Ross out of school at noon so he could be with us for lunch, too. We played a card game "Phase 10" and taught Ross to play Farkle. I will miss them so much.

Jun 12, 2011 - Another Baseball Day
I drove up to Monroe, Wa. this morning to watch Ross's first baseball game. It was so beautiful and sunny. Joanne and I even had jackets off while sitting in the bleachers. Went back to the RV afterwards and picked up Russell to take him with me to the afternoon game at Renton, WA. This game was at a beautiful city park. We sat on a blanket high up on a hill in the sun overlooking the field. Russell even took a nap in the sun while Joanne and I visited. Out to dinner for fish and chips.

Jun 10, 2011 - Pike's Place Market
We drove in to Seattle this morning and met Joanne at Pike's Place Market. It was a pretty sunny day and just a pleasant light jacket temperature. Driving in to the city with all the traffic, bumper to bumper and nutso drivers reminded us how we love the great outdoors amidst the trees and nature. We are so lucky not to have to travel in traffic each day unless we choose to do so. The market is a really special place. You could go there for people watching only and come home with a sore neck and tired eyes. Such diversity and does everyone...

Jun 8, 2011 - Into Bothell to visit with Joanne
This afternoon we went to Joanne's house to visit. Walked over to the field to see the end of Ross's football practice and then back to the house for dinner. Ross is so tall and towers over me at 6'1" and only finishing the 8th grade. He has a darling huge smile and so pleasant. After dinner, we went down to some water to see John try out a new lure and when he tossed the car keys to Joanne, they bounced off of her into the water. That set off a whole chain of events trying to retrieve the car as the spare set at home didn't work, etc. Not...

We arrived in Tall Chief RV resort this afternoon after what seemed a long day. We stopped along the way to get the sales contract for my condo notarized and then faxed back to the realtor. Talked to Joanne this evening and can't wait to see her tomorrow. We ordered a rental car for the week and they are going to deliver it out here in the morning.

Jun 3, 2010 - Seattle day 2
Wow it was a good day. Woke to a sunny day. We went into Seattle and stopped at a place called the Under Ground Tour. It was a very good tour. He explained how Seattle was built in the 1800's, built on saw dust and the buildings were made of wood. They were the first ones that had flush toilets and every time the tide came in when they flushed, it would shoot back up with back pressure. When the tide was out the toilets would work fine. So they were working on that problem. In 1886 the town burnt down and they held a meeting and a law was...

May 31, 2010 - 2nd day on Olympic Peninsula Wa
Wow what a beautiful morning. It isn't raining and the sun is out, not even cloudy. We got ready and headed out for Breakfast. Then we went on to Hurricane Ridge in Port Angeles. As we drove on up it became very foggy, some times heavy. Ran in and out of it all the way up. We did some stopping along the way, of course we ran into snow again. It is amazing how there is still snow at the end of May. We stopped at this falls with a running spring and Rick decided to try to get some water. It was very cold and not bad tasting at all, NO...
