Mar 12, 2018 - Time to get chores done

March 12, 2018 (Monday) Camping World checked my battery this morning and it was bad. They replaced it and I'm back up and going . I've learned 2 things today. One, don't go boon docking in cold weather. It was 46 in the RV when I got up this morning. I about froze to death when I got out of bed and change clothes. LOL Two, it was so humid in Galveston I hardly ever had to use hand lotion. Right now my hands feel so dry I don't think I can get enough lotion on them!! I prefer the humidity in the winter time!! I am now in the Sanger KOA...

Oct 21, 2017 - Busy week ahead

Oct 21, 2017 (Saturday) Landyn and I had a great trip. I took her back to her mom today. I am back in Sanger for now. I will be leaving again next Sunday for Athens Texas where I will be attending an on hands RV maintenance school. This week I have to start prepping for the classes. I have to take a test (to show how much or how little I already know), watch some training videos, and buy the tools I will be needing in the classes. It is going to be a busy week.

Sep 15, 2017 - I hate Ants !!

Sept 15, 2017 (Fri) The first time I was at this RV park for a month and I had no problems with ants. The next time I was here a week and had so many problems with them. The first time I was here I was parked on gravel and the 2nd time a concrete pad. So this time I’m on a gravel site and was hoping I wouldn’t have problems with them again. I was cleaning up after cooking supper when I noticed ants trying to get into the pantry. I immediately went into attack mode. I finally found the trail they were making and where they were coming into...

Aug 15, 2017 - Ants, Ants, Ants and More Ants

Aug 10th – Aug 15th I have spent the week at Sanger KOA. A family new to RVing moved into the site next to me on Friday. They had just taken possession of their RV that day. One day the mom and daughter brought me some homemade cookies and I have been loaning them my Raid ant spray. I don’t know if I will stay here again or not. The last time I stayed here I didn’t have any problems with ants. This time I’ve spent the whole week fighting them. I woke up Thursday night feeling something crawling on me. I turned on the light and there were a...

Jul 24, 2017 - 1st day of Retirement

Today was my 1st day of retirement. Even though I had to spend it catching up on laundry, it was so nice not having to set an alarm this morning. It was also a relief not to have the stress of work. I had been working so many hours I had not been able to do laundry in 2 weeks so I had a lot of it. I’m still at the Sanger KOA campground. I will be here until 7/31. It rained really hard last night for several hours. I have found out I have a water leak. I’m going to have to get that fixed before I take off from here. There is a really...

Jul 4, 2017 - July 4th

I moved into my RV full time last Thursday. I moved the last items out of my house and finished cleaning it this past weekend (July 1st and 2nd). I sign the papers selling the house tomorrow. I will officially be a full time RV then. I'm still working for now. I will turn in my notice to retire once the money from the sell of the house has been deposited into my bank account. I'm guess I will give my 2 week notice on Friday (7th) and my last day of work will be July 21st. I'm so excited about starting this next phase of my life. Right now...

Jul 4, 2014 - May 14th thru 21st

Finally, Boo gets to go somewhere besides Marksville, Picayune and Emerson! We've been telling her for 14 months that we travel "all the time". She was probably beginning to doubt us. We left Emerson on the 14th and went to Sanger, Texas to park our house. Our first stop this year in this area of Texas is to visit with our good friends, Jan and Sergio and our niece, Michelle and great niece, Micah. Unfortunately for us, Michael, our nephew, had moved a few weeks earlier to a new job location and wasn't able to get together with us. On the...
