Slow day but I had fun at the barber shop. My new barber is Dexter McBride 84 years old. He has been cutting hair there for 52 years. He is the only barber now and the shop is open Tue., Wed, & Thurs. It is the only barber shop in the county! Somehow the settings on my camera got changed and the file size was too big to post. I'll work on it but I'm not real "techie" like my cousin Pat. Okay. I resized the photos and downloaded them. I'm smarter than I thought!

They have build three times on this site, a chapel. The final time was with brick and motor. This building is the oldest church in the state of Texas and on a route called El Camino Real, the commerce route from Louisiana to points in Texas. Good and bad things happened on this route, like most traveled byways back then, you needed to be cautious. McMahan Chapel has a deep and rich history from before the Civil War to present day. Today, there are worship services as the chapel has serves the area with all the events a chapel/church does....
