Monday, January 25th....it's just one of those days where you feel like packing a picnic...um..we've had lunch already, so I guess it must mean it'll be a picnic snack...whatever the name, we're game! - so, off to Mustang Beach on Aransas Pass we go. There are people flying brilliant-hued dancing kites in the cerulean blue skies; others are scavenging the beach for any keepsake mementos; some are fishing - all are a part of the hands-on fun ordered for this day. Dec 4, 2008 - A Taste of Paradise on Mustang Island

We are finally at our first winter destination (one of two) - Mustang Island off the coast of Texas. We will be here the entire month of December. You take a free ferry across to Port Aransas, or drive down to Corpus Christi and cross a bridge to Padre Island which connects to Mustang. Either way it's paradise. We're staying at Gulf Waters RV Resort about five miles south of Port Aransas right on Mustang Beach. And we were more than pleased when we drove in.
