When you turn 65, you are not old... if you are a tree. That is my statement as I turned that Medi-care age yesterday and celebrated with the opportunity to see the next year through as a recipient of continuing Social Security and now government health insurance. What a "milestone" to reach, what a privilege to live in a county that still cares for the "elderly". Mar 31, 2009 - Back In Time

Walking the beach is a cherished time for me. I like the way the waves massage the sand and present a new pattern of liquid foam each time the water travels to its final destination. I like the constant sound of the surf announcing watery journeys are available to those who make the choice to travel upon the sea. I like to discover a shell that has been cast on the shore for the taking, and I like the solitude of a walk with my feet in the water, feeling the force of nature curl around my ankles as I walk. Mar 28, 2009 - Friendswood, TX

Developed as a Quaker town, Friendswood is a bedroom community for the Houston area. The friendly atmosphere is an oasis to the rush of the freeway passing this community. We will be here for several days visiting and taking a break from our duties with chaplains in the Texas area. The citizens of Texas have hearts the size of the state. We are with a couple now, whom you remember from our June and July 2008 trip, Curt and "Cholly" LeBlanc. Apr 19, 2001 - Madison's Induction to NTHS

Granddaughter, Madison, was inducted to the Nat'l Technical Honor Society. Her DECA team went to state competition with their marketing plan. Grandma and the family she lives with, the Kaspars, got to see the happy event.
