We got an early start this morning - off to the outlet malls halfway between here and Austin. We've been here 2 days and we have done 2 things - #1 Shopping - and #2 Shopping!! Kevin is THRILLED! Seriously, we only stopped into the outlets for a few minutes. After leaving there, we decide to take the back roads through Texas Hill Country (and Texas wine country) to a town called Fredericksburg - more shopping there! Hooray! Most of the winter Texans in the Gas Lite Village where we were parked planned to leave this week, so that called for a celebration (of sorts). 17 of us gathered at the Big Fisherman for a farewell dinner Sunday evening. We ate lots of good food and visited for a while. We got better acquainted with some and reacquainted with others. We have had a great time this year and have met a lot of really nice, friendly people in this park. We are looking forward to continuing those friendships next winter. Mar 6, 2007 - Fredricksburg, Texas

We drove 360 miles north today to Fredricksburg, Texas to visit with Jim and Jeanette Schroeder who we met last year on our Copper Canyon Mexico trip. We will stay here until Wednesday visiting with them. We pulled in the rv park just as they were leaving for dinner so we went grocery shopping and then ate dinner in the trailer. We will visit with them a little tonight. We got lots of errands and such we need to do tomorrow. We drove out to the LBJ State Park and National Park. It was all very interesting.
