As I was searching for a place to stay until Sunday when my spot at the Vineyards Campground opened up, I came across the Lavender RV Park and Lavender Farm. It's a small RV park in Bullard, TX just north of Jacksonville off US 69. John and Rowena are RV'ers who discovered lavender and fell in love with the plant as they traveled the west. A life long dream was to open an RV park, so they combined it with growing lavender and opened Lavender RV Park and Farm. It's small with only 24 full hook-up site and cheap at less than $20/night. 2015 Texas Trek

Jul 7, 2013 - Day One of Travel

Our day of travel started at 7am, leaving Bullard, Texas. We drove 450 miles to Carthage, Missouri. As you can see, we dined in and prepared a ***** star meal. It was a prime rib dinner compliments of Chef Andy and his assistant Leah. Staying at the Red Barn RV park.
