Mar 29, 2014 - Day 157 - North Platte to Selby, South Dakota

This Saturday morning is a frosty 28 F but calm winds. Nebraska is not as dry as Kansas and some of the ponds have water but ice still at the edges, with lots of Canada Geese. We travelled to Selby, South Dakota and took a site at Hiddenwood State Park Campground, no services except power for $20 night. The lake is still frozen over, a very pretty park. We made supper then went for a walk in the park. Finished off the night with Superman III movie.

Jul 27, 2005 - Day 3, Wednesday

July 27, Wednesday-Slept in Sonja's bed, Mark left for work around 6:30, so we missed him. Of course Lori tho't she had to make a big breakfast-pancakes, fruit, bacon, juice-she wanted to fry eggs, but we were able to stop her! Left around 9 and drove north toward Toronto; drove up the gravel road to Uncle Lyle's. A sad sight, turned and went to Dennis and Diane's. Looked all around, couldn't find anyone so we went to Clear Lake and Uncle Maynard & A. Betty's. So good to see them. U. Maynard is better, but still has some troubles, he likes...
