Finally arrived in South Dakota and we’re getting closer to fishing. Lost some time on our trip out of Nebraska. Jun 17, 2017 - Montrose SD – Pioneer Campground
On our way to the fishing lakes, we made it as far as Montrose SD before stopping for the night. Roger found this really nice city campground when searching for a place to stop after the campground in Canton SD was full. You get to swim in the city’s pool if you stop here and camp during the summer. That’s a perk you don’t see every day. Bridget liked it here because there was lots of green grass to lay in. Don’t know how we missed stopping here before. I guess it’s because we don’t take Interstate 90 to get to Mitchell from Yankton.

We traveled from the corn/soybean area into the corn/soybean/cattle area today. More and more cattle are beginning to show up in fields and feed lots. I feel so sorry for those in the feed lots. They get shipped in from...
