Carla here—we went to the Badlands today and was it hot! It was hotter than ______, you fill in the blank with the word of your choice because it was 109 degrees today. It isn't normally this hot here or at least not this early in the summer. We took the scenic route to the Badlands and drove through green, rolling prairie. There aren't many houses to be seen, just lots of mailboxes with driveways going off over a hill. Jun 26, 2007 - Badlands National Park and Famous "Wall Drug"

We left the campground in no hurry since there was less distance to travel today. We filled up the tank and are on I-90 once again this time towards Badlands National Park. We drive across the prairie-like meadows and slopping hills of South Dakota. We enter a new time zone, mountain time and gain another hour to our day. Jun 19, 2007 - Badlands from Interior, SD

We found an inexpensive campground in Interior, SD and made reservations, but they failed to mention it was at the end of a mile of dirt road. Joe is still fuming about the dust on his newly waxed motorhome. But it turned out to be a nice campground and we met some nice folks. We visited the Badlands in spite of advice to the contrary by some fellow campers who said there was nothing to see there. Wrong.
