Goose Lake State Park is a well-kept secret right on the California-Oregon state line. It's part of the Oregon state parks system and has one ranger and three workamper camp hosts/maintenance folks (one couple, one single). If you're a birder, come here. There have been over 150 documented species sighted in this little park. The park has 49 spaces with water and 20 amp electric, and a dump station. Apr 1, 2007 - Goose Lake State Park

Goose Lake State Park is right across the CA border in central OR. We can hit CA with a rock. When you cross the state line you have to make an immediate left turn or you miss it. Anyway, we're volunteering for the month. It's a small park and we're just getting it opened up after the winter. It was supposed to open on the 15th but we've had water well problems. Bad pump.
