After a good night sleep listening to the waves of the Pacific Ocean, we woke up and spent the day on the beach with the dogs. The sand was so white and fine. The shoreline is wide and there is plenty of room for the dogs to run a muck. Of course, they prefer to be in the water and spent most of there time jumping waves. The air was chilly and it was very windy. Nothing a campfire dinner can't help!

Sep 6, 2007 - Headed down Hwy 101 to Beachside, OR

Today we left WA state! Yay, we're on to state number two! We headed west to the coastline of OR and took Hwy 101 halfway down the state. The driving was intense taking about 6 hours to travel less then 200 miles but with the scenery changing constantly, it seemed to pass all to quickly. The coastline is incredible! There were so many places to stop and "view" that one could not possibly stop at all of them. We did seek in a few, though! We are staying at Beachside State Park, OR.
