Mar 15, 2010 - Lake Norman State Park -- Troutman, NC

Lake Norman State Park is outside of Troutman, NC which is about 30 miles north of Charlotte, NC. If you live in or are visiting the Charlotte area this is a nice park for either camping or just a place to go and have a picnic. There is no charge for swimming or picnicking. There are only 32 campsites so we would recommend making a reservation to go camping. Outside the park there are some very nice homes along the lakeshore.
