Yesterday was an easy 3 hour jaunt past Charlotte to my friend's place on Lake Norman, just north of the city. Gary and Joan have a beautiful place here but Gary's got a nasty cold/cough and we weren't able to celebrate our reunion much last night. (However, tomorrow is St. Paddy's Day and an Irish pub nearby is hosting a big party, so maybe we can split a beer there?) Monday I start heading west again and need to be in Burlington, Washington a week later for trailer repairs, so once I start to move again, I'll start reporting again. Cheers.

We're Wingin' It

May 1, 1990 - Lake Norman, NC

In January 1990, our family became a family of 7. The twins were a big surprise. Didn't stop us! A traveling we must go. Our family went up to Cornelius, NC to visit my Uncle Neal and Aunt Starla. I felt like his house was a lot like my Uncle Noelan's house in Ohio. There was a downstairs storage area/carport that I thought was neat. Being in FL, almost every house is a single story home. Stairs and basements were very intriguing to me. Their house sat up on a hill also. It was very steep down to their dock. I learned to ski and loved it....
