Jul 10, 2012 - Day 7 Reading PA to Schaghticoke NY

Left the Amish country for Upstate New York. Motored through some absolutely beautiful roads along Lake George following 9N, then we took a ferry across into Vermont. It really is a small world sometimes. As we were pulling away the ferry stopped and backed up to get a couple of cars and a motorcycle that pulled up as we were leaving. The couple on the motorcycle inquired where we were from in Florida. Come to find out he is retired from Orlando Police Department and knows my brother Charles. Sep 26, 2011 - Deer Run Campground

Was going to another campground but Irene had flooded it out and they were closed. It was on the Hudson River. We ended up staying at Deer Run which was the next closest campground so we could pick up Zach who was flying into Albany. Nice campground and the trees were just starting to turn. It was in the 80's and muggy while we were there. Hoping that the weather will change as we go north.

I decided that I'd give up one of the side view mirrors and maybe some body paint. We slowed to a crawl and with Helen,...

Sep 29, 2007 - A change in plans....

We woke to our propane gas alarm sounding off at about 2:15 AM. We opened the door and some windows and also verified that no appliances had been left on. The interior lights and fans faded and went out - so Stephan suspected it might be the battery. He headed outside to check and everything looked fine plus the alarm finally stopped. It was time to get some more sleep. In the morning, Stephan ran some tests and called Camping World to see if they could see us today in the event the power converter needed to be replaced. We couldn't get...
