Jul 22, 2011 - Along the Erie Canal

The ride up from Tioga was all a traveler could hope for. The traffic was light, the roads were mostly smooth, and the countryside along side Seneca Lake was beautiful. We only traveled 120 miles to our present stop here alongside the Erie Canal. Our park has a small marina, and then several side channels, that eventually lead to the famous Erie Canal. Jun 16, 2010 - Re-entry

A quick trip through Customs At the border a U.S. Customs agent took a quick look at our passports and waved us through. A few miles down the road we crossed the Niagara River onto Beaver Island, and a few miles farther we crossed the Niagara again and back onto the mainland. Our route took us through the outskirts of Buffalo and then we turned east. For the rest of the day we followed Highway 20 through the beautiful hills and low wooded mountains of upstate New York.
