Nov 30, 2008 - Visiting the City Cousins

11/22/08 – 11/30/08 We’ll spare you the “boring” details of our family visit and give you the highlights. First, it was wonderful to see my brother again. He is as charming and fun loving as I remember. Diana is reserved, so you have to get her alone to get to talk to her, otherwise, she is all “mommy” The best thing, of course, is for the kids to get together and play. Livi and Christina had so much fun together. They played with Christina’s toys in the basement, had pillow fights, and did art projects. Florian and Joe had great fun, too....

Nov 21, 2008 - Last day traveling East

We decided to do nothing today except make our way through the city to Long Island where we planned to spend Thanksgiving. Good thing, too, since the 80 miles took us more than 3 hours and the tolls for the motor home totaled $30. We started out to cross at the Holland Tunnel, but they don’t allow any natural gas inside so we detoured north to the George Washington Bridge and crossed over to Long Island on the Throg’s Neck Bridge.
