Today we rode from Rochester to Liverpool (Syracuse), NY. We started out along the Erie Canal path. Bob and Kathy Brick got up early and met us at Pittsford village landing. Thank you -- it was great to see you two. The Canal Path is much improved over my memory of it. Good for NY. There was some interesting street art along the route today. I have to give the prize to the mural in the town of Montezuma celebrating the nearby wildlife preserve. There was also some "Natural Art" in the views of the hills and farms. May 23, 2009 - Liverpool, NY - A Day With Friends Larry & Sue

(Ron Writing) This morning we drove a few miles south of Henrietta to Rush, NY where my friend and college roommate Larry and his wife Sue live. They have a beautiful home on several acres in a semi-rural area. It’s a quiet peaceful place with all sorts of birds, deer, and other wildlife. Elena even spotted a fox in their backyard. The backyard has a creek and pond filled with fish and turtles. Larry and Sue took us on a driving tour of the Rochester area and our first stop was Wegmans. Jul 17, 2008 - Canandaigua to Liverpool

Canandaigua to Liverpool We viewed this as a recovery day after the quad burner yesterday. Only 68 miles with only 2800 feet of “bumps”. We skipped the Denny’s Grand Slams (Decathlon Club are you reading this?) in favor of Starbuck’s for our first cappuccino’s of the entire trip topped off by blueberry muffins. Left at the civilized hour of 8:00 in 80 degrees with a light overcast. Weatherman predicted a fair chance of morning thunderstorms.
