Sorry but no internet until now. Our camera is broken and we had to learn how to add pictures from our phones.......Our first fall weather of the year. We left Weirs Beach under mostly sunny skies but when we drove into the mountains it became overcast and didn’t get warmer than the mid 50’s and that was at highway level. We stopped at the Auto Road to drive up Mt. Washington, New Hampshire’s highest peak (6288 ft). Sep 29, 2009 - Errol, NH - Spectacular Fall Beauty

(Ron Writing) Based on the weather forecast we were expecting a dismal rainy day but by mid-morning we were seeing some blue sky and big puffy white clouds. We had partly cloudy skies until late afternoon when it became very cloudy and then early this evening we had a little rain. But it was a great day for traveling and not altogether bad for photography. We left Farmington heading northwest on H-4 and then at Rangeley, ME we headed west on H-16 to the New Hampshire border. Sep 17, 2009 - Mount Washington/The Balsams

What a fabulous day we had today!! The sky was overcast early this morning, but we had decided to visit Mount Washington today, so we headed out first thing. We had read all of the literature about the mountain. John has wanted to go to the top ever since he had heard that the highest recorded winds were at the top of Mount Washington. I had never really heard about it except that I remember seeing a spot on the Discovery Channel where a guy tries to eat a bowl of cereal sitting at a table in the wind on the top of Mount Washington.
