Jan 11, 2017 - Laughlin

We didn't drive very far today but with a few scenic stops it took us awhile. After turning off 15 it was a very narrow road through the desert but still a better road then most in sk. We got a room at the Edgewater for 3 nights free but no resort fees so no internet. I am on the bench outside Coco's resturant among with the others getting there free wifi. Dale was pretty happy because he finally got the srx washed. We ran into a little rain but didn't amount to much. It was very warm here, spent a lot of time walking along the river walk.

Brenner 2017

Jan 10, 2017 - Warmth

We were up early and on the road by 7, which is actually 9 our time. It had rained overnight but was 36f so the roads weren't icy. We found out 80 was open again west of Reno so we went that direction to 95 and south. The weather east to ca isn't sounding good. It turned out to be a good decision because the road and conditions were good. We went through Death Valley and stopped at Rhyolite which is a ghost town and there is also an outdoor art exhibit that we checked out. We were below sea level for a part of the drive. We stopped at a few...

Brenner 2017

Jul 3, 2012 - Primm, NV - Another VERY hot day

(Ron Writing) We spent the entire day driving south on I-15. Leaving Cove Fort, UT the elevation drops and the temperature rises. The truck thermometer was reading 104° to 111° most of the afternoon but it is usually about three or four degrees on the high side. Regardless, it was VERY hot. We drove almost 300 miles to Primm, NV right on the California border. We are spending the night in Primm at a casino parking lot. After we ate dinner in the casino the sun was about setting and our air conditioner quickly cooled the house down from 100°...

Dec 29, 2008 - Day 1 - We are off!!-Tulare to Primm, NV

Well, we are off and running! We left Tulare at about 3:30 and made our way down the 99 and across the Tehachapis before stopping for dinner and a top-off of diesel in Yermo, just outside of Barstow. We stopped for dinner at Peggy Sue's 50's Diner for a quick dinner. This was a fun little "Route 66" stop before finishing up for the night. We pulled into Whiskey Pete's Casino in Primm, Nevada just before 9:30. Some online RVers had suggested this as a nice overnight spot, and it was. They have a dedicated RV/Truck/Bus parking lot that had...
