It was another sunny day. We went out to their property again. They have a rectangle piece of land that was nothing be sage brush when they bought it. Stef has worked tirelessly planting trees and they now have something like 250-300. Today’s effort was to plant a pine tree that she’s calling LeMont after guess who. Besides trees, they have a windmill that is a working one but isn’t connected to anything. They also have a windsock because everyone asked if they had a landing strip. It was delightful to sleep in. Scott called to let us know that a breakfast was being held just at our front door. They were headed over to their property to work, but we could do breakfast there if we wanted to. We did, and it was some kind of breakfast – eggs to your order, hash browns, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, coffee, and juice. Aug 30, 2014 - Paradise Valley, NV

We kissed Don and Diane goodbye while they headed off to Salt Lake City and her sister’s, and we headed off through the wilderness towards Scott and Stef Huseboe’s. I have never been on a more deserted stretch of road in my life – ever. Miles and miles of flat terrain with sage brush. Once in a while the road would take a turn, but not very often.
