Apr 8, 2017 - Laughlin, NV

The seven days here has gone far to fast. We visited ever casino (8)Jeanne won and I lost. We played golf one day in California. Jeanne did her Karaoke debut in AZ. We visited a car museum and have walked up and down the Colorado River. This place is neat in that the casinos are all on the west side of river in NV and the town of Bullhead is on the east side of the river in AZ (no gambling). We drove 10 miles to the south and played golf in CA. The desert championship for off road vehicles is being held today and tomorrow. They make a lot...

Jan 13, 2017 - Windy

There was some rain overnight but by morning it was dry and windy. Sun was shining and if you could get out of the wind it was hot. We are appreciating this gorgeous weather. We went for a drive around the area and then did some more walking around.. should be the last night in Laughlin and it's perfect time to leave. It had been pretty quiet but the crowds are getting bigger.

Jan 12, 2017 - Shopping

Another nice day, warm enough for short sleeves and not much wind. We went shopping to restock on scope and a few other things. Hit a couple stores in Bullhead City. After getting back to the hotel dale went to the casino that has a couple of hundred cars on display and I went to the outlet mall. The mall is across the street from our hotel but it still a couple bloocks cause the hotel is set back so far and then a parking lot. The most awesome part of the day was watching a performance of the Arizona firefighters bag pipe band. We did a...

Brenner 2017

Aug 15, 2016 - Laughlin, NV

We got started pretty early for our drive further into the desert to Laughlin, NV. We knew it was going to be hot, hot, hot, so we wanted to get in as early as possible and try to cool down the RV. We stopped for breakfast in Ludlow. It was basically eat here or there was nothing else. We came to find out there used to be a restaurant in Ludlow, but we and MANY truckers, only found a Dairy Queen there and a gas station. Did you now Dairy Queen sells breakfast? Well, as least in Ludlow they do…. We arrived in Laughlin, NV about 3 ½ hours...

Mar 3, 2015 - Laughlin Nevada

Today started out with me up and driving around looking for some McDonald’s coffee. Found McDonald’s but they were all inside the casinos. Did find an In & Out Burger place but they weren’t open yet. I finally realized that it was 6:00 am and places don’t open that early here, we are in the Pacific Time zone. So far we have been in every time zone in the continental United States on this trip and need to keep track. After that trip with no success I returned to the motorhome and decided to start the generator to make coffee. Well it would...

2015 Westward Ho

Jan 20, 2015 - Laughlin3

I m sitting in a very comfy chair outside of coco's again. The guy in the next chair is either sleeping or dead. It was 68 today but very windy so feels cool by the river. Dale spent some time looking at a parking lot full of motorhomes and some more vehicles. I went to a gem show, I was expecting loose stones and rock hounds but it was booths and booths of jewelry every price range from $10-100,000. A little too much bling overload. We later went for a boat ride on the river, it took 1 1/2 hour and was narrated with history of the Colorado...

Jan 19, 2015 - Laughlin 2

We went down for the breakfast buffet early and then went in to bullhead city to do some shopping for drinks. Running out of water and beer. We then left for Oatman. It isn't on the gps in the srx or the handheld but we thought we knew how to get there. We did but we took the old Route 66. And I wasn't impressed. Majorly narrow road through the mountains and we were on the outside. It was really busy but managed to spend a couple of hours going through the stores and dodging the donkeys. We took a more enjoyable road back thank goodness. We...

It was 75 today so we went out to the river walk and went to the riverside which has a floor of old vehicles to look at. We then waled across the street and checked out the casino over there. Found out why Palm springs was so busy...

Road Trip. Unfortunately our implosion trip to Vegas was cancelled at the last minute so we decided to head to Laughlin since we had all our ducks in a row already. Nice drive through the Joshua Tree forest and into Laughlin. Checked into the Golden Nugget and let the fun begin. Wandered Casino Dr and wagered a bit of loot with not too much luck(actually no luck lol) so off we go to Outback to have some Barbie for sups. Little more wagering and then off to lala land. Next morning dawned bright and clear with a new smell in the air. So after...

Apr 17, 2014 - Day 6 - Grand Canyon Part 2 and Laughlin Nevada

Good Evening Parents, Quiet day today. We started off our day in the middle of the Grand Canyon National Park surrounded by deer and chipmunks, ate our breakfast and went to take in some more sights of the canyon where we had 2 team photos in the space of an hour. With it being early the canyon viewing platforms were much quieter than yesterday so you could really take in the sights of the canyon and see glimpses of the Colorado River and the condors which patrol the area. After that we boarded our trusty coach and headed back to Nevada...
