Tuesday, as predicted was a 2 hour drive day with an oil change thrown in along the way and Wednesday was a 45 minute drive to get an antenna worked on, then 45 minutes back to the campground. So that about covers it. Those were pretty much the highlights of the last 2 days. With thrills like that, how could Thursday possibly be any more exciting? Well, it wasn’t. We spent a couple hours shopping and getting some lunch, then that was it. Oh, and watching some playoff baseball. And listening to the raindrops pelt the roof...again...for about...

There are no photos for this entry because we were starting to get a little “crazy” about preparations for the family reunion in South Lake Tahoe. This stop was intended to be in Virginia City, NV but there is only one rv park and the photos made it look like we would have to hire someone to back the trailer into a spot. So I revised the plan to stay in Dayton , 7 miles from Virginia City and 12 miles from Carson City. There were no pictures of the Dayton rv park but the spot was just as challenging. Apr 3, 2012 - Waiting out the next storm in Dayton, NV

. We had a short and very easy drive today from Hawthorne to Dayton in Nevada. The weather was just perfect with cool temperatures, clear skies and no wind. Traffic was extraordinarily light. After 112 miles on desert highways we arrived at the Dayton RV Park, which is located about 12 miles to the east of Carson City. The park is small, clean, easy to navigate and reasonably priced for the amenities. The interior roads are paved and concrete pads are level and wide enough for decent sized rigs.
