Traveling on I-55 to I-72 to Hwy 36 into Hamilton, MO where we stayed at Country Charm RV Park. A "charming" NEW little park on a creek with a park like setting. The host told us in the last two weeks they have seen 10 inches of rain and warned us to not get off in the grass as the area is saturated. We noticed all the flooding along the way and the Mississippi and Missouri rivers are well above flood stage. Hamilton, MO is the birthplace and boyhood home of J. C. Penney.

Oct 10, 2018 - Storms and Quilts

2018-10-10. Colorado to Missouri Snowing? Yep, that's what it was doing as we left Colorado on Monday morning. The snow was starting to coat the grass but the roads were just wet. But, for the next two days, the weather was just awful as we drove across Kansas and into Missouri. In Kansas, we stayed in Wakeeney at a KOA but after we arrived the rains started in earnest and the wind was fierce as well. Aug 3, 2018 - Day 66 - Hamilton MO

Like a well oiled machine, we get our act together and roll out of the RV park precisely at 0800 as scheduled. With Wendy following me in the truck, we drive to Brandi's right on time. My plan was to drive into the cul-de-sac that Brandi lives on, but when I get there, that plan falls apart because someone is parked on the street in the cul-de-sac and I don't think I can get by them. I instantly shift to plan B and instead of turning right into the cul-de-sac, I turn left with the intent of backing the RV into position in front of Brandi's...
