Our first week in Michigan has been rewarding. Our weekly miracle was the fact that the tornadoes and shear winds didn’t get to us. Close by in Lansing there was some extensive damage and to the east of us severe flooding, but we just got a great deal of rain. One night before going to bed we checked the campground. It looked like we had set up in the middle of a lake. During the night the rain stopped and by morning there were just very large puddles. The “thorn in our side” has been the mosquitoes. Aug 19, 2009 - Stockbridge, Michigan

We went to visit Greg and Judy who used to live in this area. We were there at a ROD (free to us) for about a week. We went touring several days (see the pictures) and we had good talks each evening. We may get to see them again in October at Chicken Creek when they head South for the winter. One of the things we did was go on a dune buggy ride.
