Aloha, After two full days spent in the car, we decided to take it easy over the weekend and explore beaches and shops around the hotel and local environs. We got snorkel gear from the hotel to have on hand for that 'perfect spot'. Next stop was to get Steve a swim shirt and thought we'd go back to the same shopping center near the hotel to see what they had there and engage in a late breakfast/early lunch before getting underway. Apr 11, 2008 - Catamaran trip to the Na Pali Coast

Pali is the Hawaiian word for cliff. The ones we saw were spectacular. The only way to see the Na Pali coast is by boat, helicopter or plane. We had to check in at the boat at 8:00 in Port Allen on the southern part of the island, a drive of a little over an hour so we left the condo at 6:30. The 65 foot catamaran was big enough that the 30 or so passengers had plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the trip. As soon as we left the dock we saw spinner dolphins in the water.
