Mar 12, 2014 - Alligator poop is always white

Good morning to you from our favorite WIFI Starbucks. We have learned many important tidbits this week: 1. Alligators eat their prey in entirety and digest everything but the bones, so all they excrete are white bones skat. 2. Armadillos are non native invasive wildlife in Florida. I always thought they were native, but no, they are a side effect of flooded zoos and circus escapes. We have a little fellow who digs holes every evening around the campsite who we have named Armando. There is also a little brown Bunnie, not a cottontail. 3. No...

Mar 4, 2014 - Debbi admits that reading trail maps is not her strength

Good morning family and friends, We are settled here at the Sarasota Starbucks taking advantage of the free WIFI to tell you a bit about our week at Koreshan State park. We really enjoyed the park. The campsite felt private and the sandy path from our campsite to the bathhouse felt like we were pioneers following a wildlife created path to water. There were bunnies on the path daily some of whom were quite calm at our approach.
