Todays exercise consisted of a 12 mile bike ride from the campsite to the bike trail in town and back. Then we went fishing till about 6 PM. We aren't having much luck lately as neither one of us had even a nobble. As we got back to camp we remembered that there was a talk on eagles in an hour and we had to rush to make it to the talk on time. At the talk the bugs were terrible! We did have bug spray on, but not ever one did. Those that didn't were easy to identify by their complaining. The talk was interesting and we both enjoyed ourselves.

Today began with a 2.5 mile jog. That left me tired all day. We drove into town to a beach access and walked out to see what we could see. We saw that on this beach many 4 wheel drive vehicles were allowed to drive on the beach. We unfortunately didn't do that. I would have liked that. We also hiked a trail in the park that was interesting. That evening we went fishing and again we didn't have a bite. It time to move to a different location!

We didn't do a whole lot today. We sat and drank coffee and watched TV after waking, then sat outside in the sun and listened to radio till noon. We then went to the beach and sat in the sun with our poles out for a couple of hours. The water was calm and I was waist deep when I casted out each of our 3 poles. We sat there 2 hours without a bite. We both got a little bit too much sun and have small areas of irritated skin. We returned to the RV and sat some more while listening to the radio. As the evening wore on I had a couple of beers...

Today began with a 15 mile bike ride. That is a long way for me. We didn't ride as fast as we normally do. After returning to the RV we sat sunning ourselves and listening the radio. About 2 o'clock Sally tried to check reception on the TV, she received 40 channels. While we were fishing she returned to the RV and tried again, receiving 0 channels at this time. What crazy reception! Anyway while fishing we caught one 13" whiting and Sally once again had all the line stripped from her reel by a large fish. She has had that happen twice on...

Today we went into the town of Port St Joe to get some groceries. First we stopped at a Dollar General that had fresh produce as well as many groceries that I didn't expect in a Dollar General. Then we went to Piggly Wiggly and got some more groceries. Finally we had found a Tiki citronella burner for bugs so we needed fuel and found that at an Ace Hardware. We returned to the campground, put our things away and went fishing. We had high expectations but it was very windy with large waves at the beach so we returned back to camp with only 1...

Today we started the day with a bike ride of about 12.5 miles. We left the park an got on a local bike path. I must have been in a grouchy mood as I complained to all other riders who didn't ride safely. several passed us while we were in single file they would refuse to get into single file an and would take more than their share of the bike path while riding two abreast. We returned to the RV safe but with ruffled feathers. We sat at the campsite listening to the radio for a few hours then went fishing. We caught 3 whiting while sitting...

Today was a travel day. We finished preparations for the trip today and took off. We traveled about 58 miles to St Joe Peninsula State Park. Upon entering the park we saw 3 deer beside the road that wouldn't run. Then we went to on to our camp site in the woods. We didn't have too much trouble getting backed into the site. We then sat up the camp and went fishing. The sun was warm and we sat in it. I was wading waist deep to cast out. Sally caught a couple of whiting and had a couple more get off just as they came out of the surf. I caught...

We moved just 50 miles down the road the st joe beach. Blanche's brother owns a home here so we decided to spend a few more days hanging out with Blanche and Gary before moving onto Texas. We were able to back into a spot in front of Tom's fifth wheel. Tom has a 30amp plug here so we are pretty comfortable. Blanche and Gary are staying in the house. Gary and Dan tried fishing several days but with no luck. They left some shrimp bait in the freezer after we left. When Tom arrived, he used the bait and caught several big red fish from the...
