If you are coming from someplace and going to Oklawaha, Florida you might take a turn and end up on CR 464C. In Florida that stands for County Road - what the C stands for I have never known. Is their an A and B someplace? One time I lived in Texas and they would name this type of road FM 464 which would stand for Farm to Market Road. They also had some RM roads, which were Ranch to Market. But in Florida it is County Road. Mar 28, 2008 - Charles Kuralt

Charles Kuralt and I have four things in common. We were both born in Wilmington, NC. He was born on September 10, 1934 and I was born on July 6, 1944, both at James Walker Memorial Hospital and we both liked to take the “back roads” to see America. Both Charles and myself were on the Radio when we were 15-16 as disk jockeys. I would like to think that we shared the same adventures in Wilmington growing up. Not going far today, just to Central Florida for few weeks to take care of some business then it is North to Georgetown, SC. Got a story about Oklawaha, FL that I will share later. Sep 22, 2007 - Ocklawaha, FL - Lake Bryant

Stayed here overnight to visit with my Dad and my brother, Mike. Only 179 miles from home now. Of course, we were immediately greeted by the love bugs as we crossed the stateline out of Alabama. We had to stop twice to wash the windshield before we reached my Dad's. Oh, and the humidity is definitely higher now than it was in Las Vegas a few days ago. I guess you can't have everything!
