We had a problem today. Sally was defrosting the refrigerator this morning when she found water all over the floor. After looking for the problem it was discovered that the drain hose was cracked and broken, letting the water go into an area with electric connections and onto the floor. We went into Crawfordville to get a new hose came home and after a few attempts we were able to get the new hose on. We found four Geo-caches today, quite a good day for that. We went for a walk and saw a controlled burn. We also had a campfire tonight.

Travel day, We had rain and hail on our trip to the next park. The road we took was mostly 4 lane but it did go through towns and had stoplights. it was raining as we got there so I had the pleasure of hooking up in the rain, I was pretty well wet when we were settled. We took a ride down what is called the scenic road within the park. it made me glad we had 4-wheel drive. It was quite wet. This road was shut down the next morning, In the evening we were unable to get anything on our TV. Quite disappointing for Sally.

Again we exercise first thing in the morning. We have been doing that most mornings that we've been on the trip. We went to Wal-Mart in the afternoon. We needed a few groceries and tried to get my meds but needed the DR. to approve one of them so we'll be back in a couple of days. This park is noted for them.We came back to the campsite and started a fire, first one in quite a while, and...

After the morning exercise Sally meet a fellow camper who had a RV quite similar to ours. His name was Denis Duty. We talked quite a bit he helped us with problems we had and Sally advised him with problems he had. We went fishing again in the evening and caught one. We did have quite a few bites though. We saw several deer when we went to clean the fish. One was white. We have a picture of it's behind in the pictures for today. We did have TV reception tonight. Not sure why we didn't have it before.

Apr 3, 2012 - Day #44

Day #44, April 1, 2012, Sunday: Drove 30 minutes over to St. Marks NFR early this a.m. A wonderful place on a splendid day to finish off our Florida trip. This is where they are reintroducing the Whooping Crane flock that was essentially wiped out in southern Florida by a hurricane a few years ago. They started their trip north to Wisconsin a few days ago behind the ultralight aircraft. Like many other refuges large ponds, small lakes actually, are separated with dikes. Roads, or paths, along the dikes make the areas accessible. St. Marks...
