Apr 28, 2014 - 2014 journey begins with roof tear and blessing

The road to our site in Ft Pickens SP was winding, Danny was avoiding a truck on the R when the rig went off the road to the L. An overhead branch had been trimmed and the side of the roof ran thru it. All I could do was look, close my eyes, and think what do I need to do next. Phone calls to insurance company, report completed with state ranger, Gulf Breeze Camping world made room in a covered bay, found a hotel to accept dogs. Thank you Lord for keeping me calm! Apr 9, 2013 - Fort Pickens and Fort Pickens State Park, Pensacola, FL

We spent a few days at Pensacola Beach (Fort Pickens State Park), which is a beautiful section of the Gulf Shore Islands National Seashore. Fort Pickens and the campground are on an island with long stretches of beautiful beach. It was a relaxing time and we saw several nice sunsets - from the campground and from the beach. The sand is white and soft -- and sings under your feet. The fort was interesting - and a walking tour by the National Park Ranger was very good.

May 28, 2009 - Work Day

After a slow start to the morning, Glen decided to do some waxing on the motorhome. He picked a warm-ok-hot day to that much work. I suggested he might have done the waxing while he was in Zapata, but he said he "just didn't have time." :) He's not finished, but one long side is very shiny! He inspired me to do some work. I washed windows and mirrors. That was enough for me! The rest of the day was spent appreciating the air conditioning. It was 76 this morning and 93 this afternoon. Tomorrow will be a travel day.
