Dec 6, 2019 - Florida

After a rest stop overnight in Tallahassee, we arrived back at Rainbow Chase RV in Davenport FL. Great to be back at our home base with friends. Visited Disney Studios to see the new Star Wars stuff, and also saw Nemo and Beauty and the Beast Shows. Then Animal Kingdom for the new Pandora Area. Got drenched on the Rapids Ride. Then the two Avatar rides. One you cant take photos because it's very interactive. Huge screen with individual motorcycle like seats. Sorta lime a flight simulator. Since Christmas time is approaching, it was time to...

Apr 27, 2019 - Start from Florida

First post on the 2nd blog. Left Florida at 1030am. Rained the whole time we hooked up the pick up. Luckily, it let up and we made it to Eufaula Alabama. Mary rested most of the trip since she got some kind of intestinal bug. Slept in a road side rest stop. The cat hates moving days. Through Montgomery and Birmingham to Red Bay. It's a cute little town and we are here for some warranty work. Windshield was full of Love Bugs (also called Airline Bugs, because they fly united). Had to scrub them off the front of the bus because their little...

Wine with Leroy and Gladys in our bus. Dinner out at the Mexican Restaurant with Denny, Mary, Mary Lou and Joe, Joann and Wayne. All packed up, vehicles cleaned and waxed to get the salt from the...

Mar 25, 2019 - Choo choo

Hopped on the Sunrail Train in nearby Poinciana and rode North to Winter Park. It's a lovely college town with lots of shops and places to eat. Tickets are cheap. Ate at an Italian Restaurant and loaded up with gelato. Yum. Been kinda cloudy, so no visits to the water parks as of late. Bingo again tonight. 𿘘

Mar 21, 2019 - Tires and Cricket

In an effort to balance the tire pressure across axels, we found out that one of our duel tires was way low. After pumping it from 52 pounds to 104, we found that we lost pressure even while filling. So, we contacted our Roadside Service Provider and they sent a tire guy out. After removing these two huge 22 inch tires he found that the valve was never fully screwed in. So it wasn't working. All fixed now. We finally found out how to get around large RV parks and rallies. It's called a Cricket and it's a type of small golf cart that "folds...

Mar 19, 2019 - Stuck, Shinanigans, Cards

Got back from Georgia and decided to shift our position on our site back in Florida. We bought a tent canopy and need an extra three feet, so when I backed into our site (something we've done here 4 times) we shifted three feet to the North. Surprise, the soil isn't stable there. We got burried up to the rear axle. The guys around here helped with shovels, boards and a tractor. Finally dug out and had to rush to finish setting up the bus and showering so we wouldn't miss the St. Patrick Party. Had corned beef and cabbage with our local...

Dec 10, 2017 - Mom arrives!

I thought I was so good for getting to the airport an hour before Mom was due to arrive because I just knew this airport would be big and confusing. And it was. I drove around the circuit twice looking for the departures for Allegiant but I didn't find it. I had to decide whether to park at Terminal A or Terminal B even. I parked and entered the airport and found my way to ticketing. I still couldn't find Allegiant so I asked someone working at an information kiosk once I found that! I was at the wrong airport and the right one is about 40...

The wagon masters of our Canadian trip are off to see the Panama Canal and then to the LA area to see family for Christmas. They needed someone to stay in their house and take care of their cats, so I volunteered in lieu of a tip at the end of our trip. I will be staying here until Christmas and my mother is coming to visit! This is going to be good!

Feb 7, 2014 - Kennedy Space Center

Mike and I went to the Kennedy Space Center and spent an entire day checking out the visitor center and taking a bus tour. Our visit included a walking tours of the Apollo/Saturn V Center, Atlantis Center, and other centers located throughout the visitor center. The Space Shuttle Launch Experience and IMAX Theater, along with the Rocket Garden rounded out our day. The visitor center closes at 5pm, we weren’t surprised to the guards locking the doors for the Early Space Exploration building as we existed it at 5:15… All and All, a great...
