After spending our first 11 days at Bahia Honda State Park, and jumping from site to site, it was time to spend the next 4 at Curry Hammock State Park. Curry is a beautiful Florida SP; nestled in the mangroves and just on the north end of Vaca Key, and considered to be an island (key) of the many "middle Keys", and which is truly home to the city of Marathon. We made reservations for a state park located in The Florida Keys many months ago so we left on Sunday, November 30 with our sights set on some warm Florida Keys sun. We haven't really seen much sun and warmth since the summer of 2007 because summer in Alaska was unusally cool and when we got back to the Lower 48 in mid-August most of the hot summer weather was gone.
