Apr 8, 2018 - Falling Waters State Park

First stop of our trip.Falling waters state park, home to Florida's tallest waterfall. It's small .. only 24 spots but nicely wooded and clean. Had great weather driving up and it's a beautiful night. We are parked next to 2 women on their way home to Ormond beach. They just pretty much took the same trip we are taking. Got some great information. You meet the nicest people traveling. Btw - Rocco did great thank goodness.

Apr 18, 2012 - Falling Waters State Park

Today we decided to hike to Florida's highest waterfall. We are also camped on one of the highest hills in Florida. We are situated in a pine forest 324 feet above sea level!!!! The hike is considered pretty easy despite the altitude. Just in case, we kitted ourselves up with cameras, backpacks, GPS and plenty water. Tommy has his own backpack now and he can carry the water and dog cookies. It was a pretty hike. "At Falling Waters State Park visitors will find one of the most significant geological features in Florida. Climb down the...

Kristina wanted some dishcloths and I only found out a couple of days before I left so I got busy doing as many as possible. Ate dinner then went for a walk on the trails down to the pond then to the...

Oct 5, 2009 - Falling Waters State Park

We got up this morning and it was still raining. We decided to go to Wal-Mart to see if I could get my hair cut again and maybe by the time we get back it will be not raining. No, that didn’t work. Wal-Mart did not have a beauty salon. So then we looked for a place to eat. No, that didn’t work. Everything in Chipley on Monday is closed, so we ended eating up by I-10 at KFC. It did stop raining and we got to do some hiking. We hiked on the Sink Hole Trail and hiked to the Tallest Water Fall in Florida which cascades 73 feet, and then...
