Mar 26, 2016 - Long day of motoring but we are headed south.

Just a short posting to let you know that we left St. Petersburg early this morning and motored for 11.5 hours and are now anchored outside of Pelican Bay at Cayo Costa. We have had cocktails and a simple dinner, are showered and will be in bed early because tomorrow we will do another long day.

Mar 16, 2016 - Heading north.

We stayed in Ft. Myers Beach at Salty Sam’s Marina for six beautiful days. Judy and Bill came up from Marco Island three days after we did and left a day before we did. Fred and I totally enjoyed our time there. The marina is a bustling place because they rent many small boats that come and go, there are sightseeing boats that come and go, and there is a pirate ship that takes many families out for harbor cruises once or twice a day. Jan 1, 2013 - Happy New Year!

Tuesday, 1/1/13 boat excursion on the Tropic Star out of Bokeelia, Pine Island. The weather is perfect, blue sky, temp in the 60's, calm seas. We are going to 2 of the Barrier Islands of Southwest Florida. It takes about 90 minutes to get to Cabbage Key via Charlotte Harbor. This water is known for world class Tarpon tournaments. We see a few dolphin swimming near the boat. After lunch at the Cabbage Key Inn we board the boat for Cayo Costa and some leisure time on the beach at the State Park.
