Our trip from the Tallahassee area to Blackwater River State Park was a 170 mile, fairly easy drive on I-10 in a steady rain, heavier at some times than others. This state park is one of our favorite places to visit. All of the sites are 50 amp full hookups with very nicely groomed sites sporting large picnic tables, a grill, and fire ring. We were able to get the satellite from our roof antenna though there are many, many very tall pines. Apr 4, 2011 - Holt, FL - Blackwater River State Park

The trip across the top pf Florida was uneventful and long, at least for those of us who are used to short 200 mile trips. We are staying at Blackwater River State Park which is between Holt and Milton, Fl about 30 miles East of Pensacola. This is one of the best State Parks we have stayed at. The campsites have been recently redone and, as best we can tell, all are 50 amp full hook up sites. They are a little closer and smaller than some of the other State Parks we have been in but are VERY nice. We have tall pines sparsely around us but...
