We rolled-out from Yucca Valley last Friday & on into the neighborhoods of Los Angeles about three hours later, getting here shortly after noon. May 3, 2009 - Back From California

We’ve been to the West Coast to spend some time with Kevin, Stef, Cameron (Cam) & Tori, & now we are back. We flew out last Thursday on a non-stop Southwest flight from Nashville to LAX (Los Angeles International airport) & then likewise returned on Tuesday. We’ve taken that flight several times & have never had a bad experience. For the little bit of flying that we do, Southwest is our airline of choice. From WalMart, Franklin, Tennessee. Once again we find ourselves sitting here at Uncle Wally's in Franklin, Tennessee, waiting. It seems that much of our life these past few weeks has been spent waiting for one thing or another. This time we are awaiting some papers to be delivered to us tomorrow by Fedex related to the new Phaeton; more on that in a bit. Since I last wrote, we have lived the Sandwich Generation life. Mar 2, 2007 - Off The Road For A Few Days

From the home of our son Kevin, in the Winnetka / Northridge / San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. We were on 4-6 lane interstates yesterday almost from the time that we left our previous night's stop in Thousand Palms. After looking at the map a bit closer, we realized that Thousand Palms was almost synonymous with Palm Springs & Palm Desert.
