Nov 21, 2013 - Day 23 - to West Sacramento, California

We left Central Point about 8:45 am. It got down to 31F here last night and still very moist air. It was foggy when we set out but we climbed about 2,000 ft in the first half hour and therefore got above it quickly and then by the time we came down again it was gone. We had a long view of beautiful Mt Shasta. It seems to be all by itself, snow topped. The wind was blowing the snow at the top, and made some very pretty photos. We drove by a lot of orchards, probably olive trees, as we past a sign saying this valley was Olive Capital of...

Mar 1, 2013 - West Sacramento, CA

Left Bodega Bay the morning of May 1 and returned home to West Sacramento. On this trip we drove the motor home approximately 11,000 miles and the car 8,000 miles. We will be here for a while to take care of doctor and dentist visits before heading out on our next adventure. I hope everyone enjoyed following along with us on the trip journal. On our next trip I don't know if I will do another journal because it takes a lot of time to put it together which tends to interfere with the trip.

May 6, 2012 - Glide Ave., West Sacramento, CA

We left Sunday morning at exactly 9am, stopped at 49r Truck Stop to top of the diesel and propane tanks, then headed north on I5 to the 99 split and decided to take 99 to Red Bluff then I5 to Weed. 99 was a much smoother road therefore a better ride with much less truck traffic. After 231 miles we arrived in Weed about 3:30pm and checked into Friendly RV Park for a three night stay.

Hello every one! We're back on the road! Heading East this year! We left West Sacramento, CA. on Jan 19th, heading to our favorite Alfa Roadrunner's Rally in Quartzsite, Arizona. Jeret, my youngest son wanted to see what this RVing life-style is all about,,, so he joined George and I on our trip to Quartzsite. What an eye opener it was for him! So many rigs,,,, so many OLD people with SO much energy! For 1 week in January there is a RV show that is so big it's hard to explain. There are literally 1000's of RV's parked on BLM land...

Oct 1, 2009 - West Sacramento: not what it sounds like!

After our wonderful morning at Atwater (see yesterdays log), we were off to points north. Due to our lolly-gagging around, we planned to get to Redding, but by the time we got to Sacramento (sounds like a western song, doesn't it) we were done in for the day. After diligently looking for the 'perfect' RV site for the night using the Trailer Life directory, we chose an RV park in West Sacramento that promised a lot of things. Trouble was, they didn't deliver on most of them. Even the washrooms and showers were closed; thankfully we're...
