Day 3: We went to a few outlet stores in Las Vegas and then decided we would go to Death Valley, it turned out to be a lot further than we expected! we arrived there at 4pm, the heat was amazing, the weather report said 121 degrees, when we stepped out the car the heat of the breeze felt like it was burning your skin off, we wanted to go down gravel roads to get to some of the sights, but our car wasnt up to it, a ranger firmly advised us only to go down the gravel roads in a 4x4 as normal road cars get at least 1 puncture and sometimes 2...

Oct 13, 2005 - Death Valley

We spent the night in Bishop, CA. and found a Ford garage to get our air conditioner fixed but after the mechanic told us it was the electronic pump they also told us they didn't have one in stock , we set out for Death Valley with air going through the defrosters. Believe me it was better than no air at all. We were still on Hwy 395 and saw a sign that said "Wild Life Viewing Area". The Beginning

Jun 5, 2005 - LA to Death Valley

The last possible day for Karen to do some celeb spotting, so we headed back to Beverley Hills to have brunch at a celeb hangout - the Barefoot Café. Good food, no celebs. After that we did a bit of shopping at the famous Beverley Centre before leaving LA, a task that proved to be more difficult than it should be. We got to Death Valley and it was both hot and windy.
