Sep 19, 2014 - Seal Beach, CA

Arrived in Seal a Beach around 1 pm. Met up with dad at the Leisure World Gate. What a mess that was. Every security guard wanted us to park the Moho in a different place while checking in. They sure have a poor system, but we go registered and got our spot by the library. Around 85 and sunny, had to run the air for awhile. No hookups or water, but Dish, AT&T, and Verizon worked good.

This is the trip that almost wasn't. On day 3 within 24 hours we had 2 trips to the animal ER for bite wounds (Bear) and visit from the paramedics and a short trip to the hospital ER (Scott). Bear's bite wounds are healing nicely and Scott received an A-OK from his ER visit.

We had Anya for one more overnight this week. We had to take MH to the tire place because Pete could not read pressure on our back tires and that could be an issue since we will be going into higher elevations and need to lower tires pressure on some occasions. After short trip and $100.00 problem is solved. We had a nice time at Huntington beach on Saturday and on Sunday morning we left Los Angeles area for the higher elevations of the National Sequoya Park.

Apr 19, 2014 - our activities

Anya had a dance class in the morning but we forgot dancing shoes at her parent’s home, so early in the morning we drove to San Pedro to pickup her shoes and we let Otis, family dog out. He was so happy to see us. Then we hurry to dancing class, I learned that if we were looking at her practicing she was not paying any attention to the instructors so we reluctantly watched her on the CCTV. After that change of clothes and we were driving to Fort McArthur for the Easter egg hunt, courtesy of the Air Force. Kids had a blast, we never seen so...

Apr 15, 2014 - Sea Breeze at Seal Beach Ca.

We arrived to a much cooler California coast on Saturday. We are staying at Sea Breeze Famcamp at Seal Beach California. Driving thru Phoenix AZ and west was a chore and a workout at the wheel. Lots of wind and there was one stretch that the sand was blowing so hard that it was somewhat dark out there. In the air you could smell a soil, as the fine particles were blown in the wind. As we entered Las Angeles area we started to work our way thru the traffic to our campground. The sites are big, paved and with lots of grass and nicely...

Dec 25, 2012 - Spent the night at Leisure World in RV visiting my dad

We visited my dad and spent the night in the RV at Leisure World in the parking lot next to the library. It was quiet and we had plenty of room for the pop outs. We had a nice visit with Aunt Martha the next day and took my dad to breakfast at his old school yard that is now a restaurant. Next day we headed to San Diego. So far our new RV is doing well and rides like a dream.
