Feb 22, 2010 - New house

Feb 22 All these laid back days at the start of a vacation sure can be nice. Today was a trip to Vintage Ford and SoCal Speed Shop. Then we went out to the new house with the kids for a walk through. Even though the house is older it looks good and is a terrific location. Living, family, dinning rooms and kitchen are real open with lots of light. It has 2 patios, concrete path around the entire house and of course in sitting on 2 acres, out in the country with views of the mountains. Of course after that we had to go look for flooring and...

Southwest USA 2010

Feb 21, 2010 - California

Feb 21 8:27 63798 There is a high fog this morning, but as we climb out of the valley it lifts. There is no snow in the mountains except on the very far way high peaks. We are leaving Oregon and entering California, first stop of course is the inspection station. No problem, only questions were did we have any fruit, vegetables or pets, the answer to all being yes. He just said thank you, have a nice day. Our next stop is Liquor barn in Yreka where we pick up goodies for the trip. Mt. Shasta is beautiful with a swirl of clouds around her...

Dec 7, 2008 - Rancho Cordova, CA - Celebrating a Late Thanksgiving

(Ron Writing) We’ve been enjoying a few days at my sister and brother-in-law's home in Rancho Cordova, CA (near Sacramento). On Friday we celebrated “Thanksgiving” a few days late but it was just like our usual annual get together. The weather has been cloudy and cool here but at least there’s no snow or rain. We’ve been enjoying many hours of visiting and playing table games. It’s just great to be with loved ones and enjoying each other’s company.
