Nov 1, 2011 - Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way....

Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay But now it's time for me to go The autumn moon lights my way.... I can't believe 8 weeks have passed since I last checked in here. I guess being home in my own house, in my own bed, eating all of my favorite foods and hanging with my best friends has allowed me to be kind of lazy. The cloudy, misty, overcast weather at the beach helped lull me into a state of sloth also. Not that I have been a lump my whole time home. I have managed to see and do a bunch of cool stuff on this leg of...

Nov 7, 2010 - The leaves seen through my window pane....

Remind me that it's time to move my life again November sun is felt by none A chilly breeze has blown my thoughts to what's to come.... Bag's packed, Boarding Pass's printed, house's as organized as it is going to get and the goodbye's have been said. For now. Tomorrow I hit the road again. I'm flying back to Bangkok, Thailand to pick up where I left off. Like a lot of things in life it is bitter sweet leaving. I have had such an incredible time in the USA visiting family and friends. There's been a lot of joy, laughter and some great...

Oct 29, 2010 - And I'm goin' out west....

Where they'll appreciate me Goin' out west Where they'll appreciate me Goin' out west.... Home again home again. Very nice. After a long day of traveling west - Newark to Salt Lake City to San Diego - I climbed into my own bed and it was heaven. Beside all the great people in my life that I miss while traveling I think my bed has to be one of the things I miss most. It's nice to be home. Not to get too comfortable in that bed of mine, I was back only a short moment before I started seeing friends. I have had a great week of catching up over...

Jul 23, 2010 - Day 8

Girls take a long time to get moving in the morning….hair…waking up….hair…waking up….hair…..Disney Channel……so Clint and I decided to check out the beach scene early without the chics. First we found some coffee (coffee maker was one of the amenities not included in our room)……then we walked down to the board walk to watch the surfers. Other than the surfers and the homeless folks waking up….not a lot going on in the morning at OB. Eventually we went back and got the girls for the next morning walk. This time we went out on the fishing...

Summer 2010 Part 2

Jul 22, 2010 - Day 7

Kids wanted to go to the beach……so we decided to drive over to San Diego. Thought it might be a bit crowded in grandpa and grandma’s one bedroom condo, so we hit the internet looking for a hotel and got lucky to find one on the beach…….the key part of lucky is the fact it is on the beach…..(later some are going to wonder why an older hotel cost so much with only one bed). In order to get from Yuma to San Diego, we had to cross through check points. The first check point was for fruits and vegetation…….and we must have looked suspicious...

Jun 2, 2009 - Ollie's Day At The Beach

Ollie had his day at the beach today. We have been looking for the perfect place to take him since we got here. We heard about Ocean Beach, they have a special Dog Beach area, just for dogs. They allow dogs any time of the day. They are even allowed to take the leashes off. Ollie had a ball meeting new dogs, playing in the water and just being free. It's hard for dogs traveling by RV. They don't get a lot of chances to run and be free, and he enjoyed it much. I am sure we will be visiting this area a lot while in San Diego. More later from...
