May 16, 2013 - Woodward Reservoir, Oakdale, CA

We left Three Rivers Friday morning and traveled about 170 miles to a Stanislaus County Reservoir, Woodward Reservoir, where we stayed for two nights. It cost only 15.00 per night with a senior discount (hard to imagine we qualify) for full hookup with 50 amp. service. The reservoir was full and it is quite a lovely facility with huge day use areas, several boat launches and several camping areas; one with hookups where we stayed and the rest with no services. There was an abundance of wildlife and we saw turkeys and a lot of other birds...

Feb 4, 2011 - Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Oakdale

Of course it would have been better if the other 24,000 or so people had come another day. The park was so crowded. You could not find a parking place to walk and see some of the beautiful sights. The swinging bridge was out of the question. To turn right to drive to the Bridal Veil Falls could have been possibly a 30 minute or more wait. We drove...

Aug 6, 2009 - MOVING ON

Thursday morning August 6, we get ready to leave the San Francisco area. I had hoped the traffic might not be so bad if we left by 10:00. We didn't get away until after 11:00. When you are RVing you have to be flexible. Sometimes nothing goes to plan. The traffic sure did not co-operate. There is 5 to 6 lanes of traffic. We are to go on Hwy 101 until we pick up 580 East. We go over some huge bridge, maybe the Oakland-Stockton or was it Berkeley, I am not sure. All I know is it is a bridge on top of a bridge. We are on the bottom going east...
