Feb 13, 2010 - Diamond Valley Lake

Very nice day broke today which brought out people in the park. Those in the park that have things for sale are allowed to set up and peddle their wares. The clown was just spreading smiles. We found out “she” was from Minnesota. Broke up some bread crumbs and it didn’t take long for the park geese and ducks to gather. We took a sight seeing trip up to Diamond Valley Lake nearby. Feb 6, 2010 - Wet!!!

Who says “It never rains in California”? Well, we suppose you have heard about it on the news also. They are having their share. After the heavy rain 2 weeks ago it came again. Started the night of the 4th and continued all day the 5th. Fortunately we are not located right in the hills although it has gotten quite wet here in the campground. All charged for tasting their wine then prices were on the high side. Their main objective appears to be – get you in for the tasting then buying. Maybe it is just California. Besides that we didn’t really...

Jan 25, 2010 - To LA

We headed out from Quartzsite today heading for the LA area. (Here are a few photos of our route to LA.) We will be staying at Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trail Resort, where we spent two weeks in 2007. This is about 60 miles southwest of LA near a town called Menifee. There are quite a few of these herons hanging around the campground and you want to be a little careful what trees you walk under (if you get what I mean). After attending a pre-convention workshop for the Missouri Synod (convention next July in Houston) this next weekend,...
